Montreal, QC, Canada (July 11, 2019) – Jesta I.S. Inc., a global leader in integrated ERP solutions for wholesalers and omnichannel retailers, announced today that Scandinavian Designs, a contemporary home furniture retailer with over 50 years in the business, has chosen to leverage Jesta’s Vision Merchandising, Vision Store, Vision Analytics, Warehouse Management, Financials and Order Management solutions in their showrooms across the US.
Scandinavian Designs is based in Northern California. The inspiration for the company came from the founder’s trip back to his native Norway in the early 1960s. After attending a furniture show in Stavanger, the founder began a one-man furniture operation, fulfilling every position the business required. Today, Scandinavian Designs has an e-commerce site and stores in nearly a dozen states. The company offers a variety of product and service customizations including custom orders, special orders, back-order sales, flexible delivery, repairs and white-glove service. All value-added service offerings will be facilitated with Jesta’s industry-leading Point-of-Sale and Omnichannel solutions. Scandinavian Designs has multiple sister banners.
When Scandinavian Designs made the decision to replace its legacy ERP system, one of the company’s priorities was to develop a long-term client-vendor partnership with a clear growth path. They needed a robust and scalable platform that would provide accurate transaction information and improve data visibility, while also enhancing functionality at head office and optimizing operational efficiency overall. The ability to offer regular product maintenance and upgrades were also key.
“Scandinavian Designs wanted a solution partner with deep roots in retail and one that would work with us from implementation onwards for many years to come,” said the Vice President of Scandinavian Designs. “Jesta studied our business, presented their comprehensive suite of integrated solutions and demonstrated that their platform would provide our shoppers with a truly unified commerce experience, while improving our head office, warehouse and in-store efficiency.”
“We’re proud to offer solutions that cater to different verticals in the retail space,” said Arvind Gupta, President of Jesta I.S. “Scandinavian Designs is an American success story of entrepreneurial spirit, and a sense of adventure borne out of a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and quality products at great value. We’re excited to have been entrusted with the next phase of Scandinavian Designs’ retail journey. We look forward to evolving with them and helping them further solidify their position as a national leader in the furniture market.”

Together with its sister brands, the company has over 35 furniture showrooms across the U.S. Scandinavian Designs is a contemporary home furnishings destination rooted in a love for Nordic culture, modern design and quality craftsmanship.
